We could, but no
We're going to use Ether
MBASIC might be easier for programming logics, but may be problematic to move to Java soon
Also, MBASIC is lower-level language, in long term it will be harder to do more complex code as you would need to do something bigger and there's a lack of libraries for MBASIC you could use on Ether
I think it's better to begin with Ether
But if you guys prefer to begin from MBASIC, only to begin with Ether later, we can

But i'll allow you to finish the activities in MBASIC language (or any other language), because the goal is to teach programming logics
