RE: *Java Devices/Games*
Not necessary... It depends on the owner's care
Old phones are pretty known to be resistent A question i make about this is: ¿How much years can a Gameboy survive? That's it. It's a undetermination. Gameboy is very old, but there's still people with them and there's still fans creating games for this platform Same with J2ME But there's 2 problems about them: the battery and the calendar While Gameboy is powered by descartable batteries, featurephones has proprietary batteries, but they are replaceable, and we can do a trick if it's the case - it's what i did with my GT-M2510, wich i cut its plastic do i could trade the old battery, wich was inflated and about to explode, to a bigger battery from another old smartphone And the callendar... Their software are very old, and they didn't, and will not, receive any updates to increase the callendar's date limitation, that means its software will glitch in a specific date that will pass the system's max date. Another solution for this is simply disable the automatic date update and change the system's date to a wrong one For example, a feature phone can only hanfle until 31/12/2030 (DD/MM/YY), and a minimum of 1/1/1980 so before we pass this day and have a disaster, we disable the autoupdate setting and set it to the minimum, problem solved. RE: *Java Devices/Games*
all other sites archiving J2me games are being closed one by one. that means games won't survive more than devices. Itel, Symphony, Tecno, Tinmo etc. companies are still developing java devices. but the main problem is they are mostly too much low-end, or u can say every lately released java phones are useless except one or two. So the overall opinion is, java has to face the dead end.
new Java devices are available here in plenty. but almost all of them are low ram |

RE: *Java Devices/Games*
What if we create a game folder somewhere in the internet where we can upload our rare J2ME games so that they won't get lost?
