It has begginning in the 3rd industrial revolution and the ending of the cold war
After the second war, the U.S. has taken control of Asian regions like Japan and South Korea. Their main objective was to designate these areas as a agricultural colony like they did with the Central America during the United Fruit expansionism. But there was a important geopolotical detail: The Soviet Union

The Cold War as an industrial and a belicist technology conflict between the Soviet Union and the United States, on wich both countries were improving their industry and technologies. While the Soviet Union followed a economic alliance strategy between other communist countries (with the exception of Albania and Yugoslavia), the United States were fighting Latin America's and Middle East's sovereignty to maintain their dominance over their economies and prevent new commercial relationships to the Soviet Union. In this period, Latin America's countries with progressive, social-liberal or socialist governments, like Brazil with João Goulart's trabalhism, Argentina with Maria's peronism, Chile with Salvador Allende's democratic-socialism etc, wich were developing their economic sovereignty, nationailizing foreign enterprises and doing rural reforms, were attacked with military coups supported by the United States.
In Brazil, there even were U.S. military cargo chips in Brazil's sea to invade our territory in case João Goulart resist the coup. Brazil's military after the coup lied saying these ships were russians

After World War II (and during it), there were some socialist and nationalist revolutions in Asian countries like Korea, China, Camboja, Vietnam, Laos etc and even India itself against Britain's, France and Japanese colonialism.
U.S. supported reactionary groups in these countries and invaded some like Vietnam and Korea

Due the Soviet Union development and the fear of the socialism expansion in Asia, in wich socialist Asia's countries were developing their industry with commercial relationship with the Soviet Union, the United States supported and sent money to Asia's capitalist economies that they've gather control, like Japan and South Korea.

After the Soviet Union fall and the neoliberal expansion in the European East, the United States and capitalist Asian countries were taking control of the technology industry
With the ending of the 3rd revolution, the communications and means of production were getting easier and thus getting globalized.

This is when China has seen the beggining of the globalization and the threat of the imperialism's dominance in the techonlogy industry. So they took economic reforms (wich were very controversial into the Chinese Communist Party itself) to open their market to the international market and insert themselves into the begginning globalization, without losting their sovereignty.
Their beggining was very controversial: while China were receiving investment from the west industry, they were also producing pirate, replicas and fake products and exporting it to the world, to gather knowledge about these technologies, gather money from the foreign and improve their own industrial technologies. But this is how they begin their technology.

Today's China is very advanced and has passed the west technology. Everything that we use here are produced in China. But oposite to this statement, China has not forgot other countries. It has joinned the BRICS and had a important role in South Africa's, Brazil's and India's (even thought India-China conflicts) industry's development. This mobilized the United States to interfere into Brazil's politics to bring down Dilma's progressive government and close Brazil's national industry with the use of Lava-Jato Operation, for example.
China also makes investiments in Africa's industry and were giving their lastest technologies such as their 5G to countries like Nigeria's industrial technology.

In answer, the U.S. in Trump's government shared fake news against the Chinese 5G technology and started to boycott Chinese corportations such as Xiaomi and Huawei, and this is being continued into the Biden's administration. India is being inserted to this.
