[APP] J2MEdit
[Image: OWlNo7E.png]

Description: A good tool to make and edit codes from a QWERTY Java phone
You can use it to create Ether codes for Alchemy OS instead of using default edit package.
You'll still need to boot into Alchemy OS to compile and test your codes

App description:
Quote:Write and compile source code on your Java J2ME mobile device

Develop C++, Java, PHP, and HTML code - With fully highlighted syntax

J2MEdit is the first and only tool that combines the power of a large programming IDE and the portability of a mobile phone to create a small and easy to use source code editor.

This tool is ideal for professional developers, hobbyist programmers, or students. J2MEdit also allows you to create and edit regular word-wrapped text documents from your mobile device. When you want to transfer your files, simply email or upload them to the internet all from within J2MEdit.

Key Features:
Create source code files in Java, C/C++, PHP, and HTML
Store files locally or over the internet
Compile Java and C/C++ source code directly from your mobile device
Create notes, memos, and word wrapped documents
Editing features such as copy, paste, find/replace, undo, and more...
Send files to anyone via Email
Load files to your mobile from the internet
Assign any key on your device to do exactly what you want
Advanced data compression allows for small and fast data transfers
Collaborate with others with the option to share the same files among multiple users
Personalize your interface from fonts and text color to screen size and background color
and more...

Requirements:
  • Platform: J2ME
  • Configuration: CLDC 1.0
  • Profile: MIDP 2.0
  • Storage: 110KB
  • Input: QWERTY¹
Compatibility Notes:
  • ¹¡Numpad and touchscreen devices aren't compatible! You can use it on a numpad device, but not as great as using QWERTY. Map CENTER to "Edit line" in keymapping settings, this will open the selected line in a native text input, where you'll be able to edit it. Touchscreen are still not compatible unless if there's a on-screen virtual keypad
  • Compiler doesn't works as it requires internet connection and the compiling server is down
  • Your device might freeze or slowdown at first, just be patient and wait

RE: [APP] J2MEdit
Use edit(built-in) or editext (recommended) packages on Alchemy OS

Now, if you intend to use that to edit Java code, use J2ME SDK Mobile, that's much better
I've posted this tool to be used on Ether language
That's much better as it would not limit your character length by a native phone's text input, and would give you colors for fields and methods
