RE: GAMELOFT VS JAVA GAMES
Java ME is old and very outdated technology, it's not in mind to the industry anymore, including the game industry and Oracle itself discourage development to this platform. Only a very few phones are coming with Java today. Also, Gameloft today has pay-to-win standards, so they need newer technologies for safer money transaction systems, as WAP is very old, it's very vulnerable to data leaks and hacks. Althought Java also allows this standard, it has much fewer players now and is very vulnerable. To any game industry, Java is a worthless market risk in 2021. J2ME only for independent developers and enthusiasts now, the same way it's for any other old technology like Gameboy, PS1 to PS3, Xbox Classic, Windows 7 and older PCs, etc...

(04-30-2021 09:16 AM)star cash Wrote: Are the also for creating java game in itel 5250????? J2ME is universal. You can deploy a project for most devices possible. Testing on the most device as possible makes the compatibility list much bigger. For example, if you test on 2 different devices, there'll be a huge devices that will be compatible to it, but many issues will appear in some. So, pay attention to differences in each devices: MMAPI, vibration, keypad codes, Strings, Graphical capabilities, optional packages support (Bluetooth, M3G, etc), etc and, especially, screen resolution.
