How to go fishing in oregon trail: American settler

In this oregon trail game, i was given a quest to go fishing 4 times, i have rivers, but when i clicked on the rivers, i couldn't go fishing, and the fishing signs are not showing. What is wrong and what should i do

i have all the equipments(bait can and fishing rod), but i can't stiil go fishing. And i have gone for fishing before in the game. The fishing sign must pop up, but it isn't

It is not popping up for so long now. I have used cash to pass the mission. But what if i am given another quest like that
