It did compiled, no errors, however, id did not made the behavior you wished for

At 1, your hand has moved down until the middle without the pen drawing on the paper, the pen was still lifted
At 2, your pen touched the pape. And draw a straight line until back to the top at 3
At 4, the pen draw a line until the middle as the hand moved down, on the exact same line drew in step 3
At 5, nothing ocurred as you can only lower or lift your pen
At 6, You drew again the same line from step 3 and 4 until the top
At 7, you pressed the pen stronger to the paper

Result: You made a straight | line, and kept the pen touching the paper, pressing it stronger against it
