Well, to begin, as a Java fan i think it's very curious that many Java fans are from east, and it's very hard to see another from the west. Asian manufacturers even still produce Java phones alongside with their Android phones.
To begin, i was surprised some people often access this website on Java phones
On my country, people don't even know these phones had Java, and that you could install stuff on them
Probably because our internet were so hard and expensive, very few had internet, and mobile data were even worse and expensive than home-internet that time, that made internet access from phones even harder as they had no WiFi. So people did not had much information about it. And when internet were more accessible (but still hard), smartphones already came out and were becoming popular, so people did not cared much about Java phones, the only ones who cared about Java were people that bought replica-phones with Java technology and WiFi and discovered J2ME existed from this.

I'm very interested in political stuff, and i see a lot of sociological subjects on this
And i want to begin investigating it by the technology accessibility. What regions has more access to modern technology, if J2ME popularity is correlated to this and how retro-platform developers makes gaming more inclusive, and J2ME just cannot be abandoned as it is yet a very limited and confusing platform, but has it's very own underrated potential, it's a cool platform, and has a big - forgotten - community of fans and people who can only access this platform.
This is a thing that makes J2ME different from other retro platforms, like Super Nintendo and 90's PCs, but very similar to what PlayStation 2 is to Latin America that ALSO HAS a big and forgotten community, who is working to maintain PS2 alive, and is the most accessible gaming platform on here.

And if PS2 had a J2ME emulator, things could become even more interesting on both platforms.....

So, this information is very useful and important for third-worldist players, modders and developers
