RE: How I became Mobile Gamer
Until 2007 i had many phones , from black and white screen Nokia and Siemens to Motorola V3 Razer . I belived that games on them where just pre-installed by manufacturer and changing them was impossible .
In 2007 Mobile operators Vodafone and Orange launched their own Wap Portals . They even went so far as modify phone firmware so Browser will auto-launch their wap portal page on opening Crazy Russian
I bought this phone m.gsmarena.com/alcatel_ot_c701-1902.php with a 1 year contract of 100 MB internet per month for 10 usd . Vodafone Wap portal was a beautiful place to play Online Wap Browser games like Chess, Backgammon, Poker , ... Gamer
Demo version of new java games also free for download
To buy 1 game the price was about 5 Usd mobile credit and if download failed because 'not enough memory' or Fail to launch , you never got money back so sad
After playing all Demo games i started looking on Google for more and found Waptrick and Dinowap Dance
They were 'leeching' games from waper,ru and Dedomil's old site Dedowap.
Dedomil was doing a smart thing by editing manifest to say 'For more games visit Dedowap' or 'If you didn't download this from Dedowap , some bastard stole it! Visit Dedowap' LOL
That's how i became wuarez Mobile Gamer Bashful
