9-BALL RULES
1. Set Cue Position:_With the number keys or the D-pad, use the 4/Left and 6/Right keys to move the cue. You can rotate it 360 degrees around the cue ball.__Press 5/Accept softkey to confirm.__2. Set Spin:_A representation of the cue ball with a spin marker appears._Use 2/Up, 8/Down, 4/Left, and 6/Right to position the spin marker and set the spin._- Setting the marker on the top of the cue ball will cause a Top Spin effect._- Setting the marker on the bottom of the cue ball will cause a Back Spin effect._- Setting the marker to the left or right of the cue ball will cause a left or right English effect._- You may combine these effects for complete control of the cue ball.__3. Power:_The power meter moves left and right. Press 5/Accept softkey button to stop the meter at the desired power for that shot.__4. Extra Controls:_Use 7 to toggle ball highlights on and off during aiming phase._Use 3 to bring up the rack any time during gameplay._Use 0 to return to a previous phase of control.
Sound:_Turn Sound On or Off.__Vibration:_Turn Vibration On or Off.__Reset Game:_Erase current progress, options settings and your Sim from the game.__Line of Travel:_Toggle the line-of-travel helper On or Off.__Ball Highlights:_This option toggles highlighted numbers on the balls On or Off during aiming and ball-in-hand phases of 8-Ball and 9-Ball.
The object of 8-Ball is to sink all of your ball group, either stripes (9-15) or solids (1-7), and then the 8-ball. Ball group is assigned when a player cleanly sinks one or more balls of that type. Until then, the table is considered 'open'. When you foul, opponent gets ball-in-hand behind the head string.__It is illegal to sink an opponent's ball or strike it before your own and is a loss of turn. After clearing your group, you must sink the 8-ball cleanly (no fouls or illegal shots). Sinking the 8-ball before clearing your group is a loss of game.
The object of 9-Ball is to sink the 9-ball on a legal shot._Legal shots only require that the cue ball first strike the lowest numbered ball on the table._Striking any other ball first, sinking the cue ball, or not striking any balls are fouls and gives the opponent ball-in-hand._Sinking any numbered ball on a legal shot allows the shooter to go again.
Play against a friend on the same phone in Pass'n Play mode._Take your turn, and then pass the phone to your opponent so they can play theirs.
