rHOW TO PLAY: From the Play menu, select "Free Play" to play a stand-alone game with 2 to 6 players. Select "Tournament" to enter a Tournament, starting with 6 players. Games continue until all players except one have been eliminated (run out of chips). Players win cash prizes depending on their final placing in the Tournament. You need $500 to "buy in" or enter the Tournament. If you don't have enough, you must visit the cashier (select "Cashier" from the Play menu). You cannot visit the cashier or obtain more chips during the Tournament. THE GAME: Standard Limit Texas Hold 'Em rules apply. See www.worldpokertour.com Players take turns as the dealer. The player to the dealer's left must post an initial bet called the Small Blind Bet, which is half the lower stake (minimum bet) for the game. The next player to his/her left must post a bet called the Big Blind Bet, equal to the lower stake. Two cards are dealt to each player, face down. Round 1 of betting: Players take turns to bet, starting to the left of the Big Blind. The Small Blind and Big Blind players can increase their initial bets. 3 community cards are dealt face up: the Flop. All players can use these cards to form a hand. Round 2 of betting: Players take turns to bet, starting to the left of the dealer. A fourth community card is dealt: the Turn. Round 3 of betting. One final community card is dealt, the River. Round 4 of betting. Players show their cards. The player who can create the best 5-card hand out of their own 2 cards and the 5 community cards is the winner. BETTING: For each game, bets are determined by two fixed values: the lower stake and higher stake. In Rounds 1 and 2, bets start at the lower stake, and can be raised by the same amount. In Rounds 3 and 4 bets start at the higher stake (2 x the lower stake), and can be raised by the same amount. In a Tournament, stakes will be increased at the end of each game. The new values will be shown on screen: e.g "Bets Up (40/80)" when the lower and higher stakes have increased to $40 and $80. When a player has bet all of their chips, they are "All In" and can make no further bets in that game. At the end of the game, the winner takes the pot (the total amount bet during the game). But if one player goes "All In" during the game, subsequent bets go into a separate "Side Pot" which the other players compete for.
