I offered to go over the scene of the crime.|The state of Cararina's hotel room confirmed the burglary theory, but Marie was denying everything.|Since no-one believed in her burglary, Catarina locked herself in her room.|Then she went to Joliette, but had forgotten an important file. I needed to take it to her.|In exchange for the pendant Alex's friend gave me, Jean agreed to to Pnicie.|It appeared that the links between my father and Catarina weren't all that they appeared...|Since I had no money left, I decided it was time I earnt some cash of my own.|I tried to sell my talents to Michel: Cooking, serving, cleaning... I can do anything!|Though he was sceptical, Michel conceded in the end... He gave me a job for the season.|Dumont and Catarina, chatting on the Midi terrace, appear to fancy each other.|Catarina wants to buy an apartment, and Dumont is playing the estate agent.|Two can play at that game... I decided to beat Dumont at his own game...|I showed Catarina that the apartments that Dumont had proposed weren't good investments.|Dumont had been exposed. Annoyed by the situation, he took his leave.|Alex has turned up at the docks to reimburse Rmi. They saw Renaud and Catarina near a container.|Our clumsy arrival sent these people away. I got to work investigating the scene.|I escaped with my life when the container exploded. I went looking for Alex, my only witness.|Mickal Cassagne seemed to be hiding Alex. I had to be cunning to make him talk.|Hiding in Manon's apartment, Alex obviously knew much more than he was admiting.|He finally revealed that he'd seen Renaud Chaumette hanging around the container.|Renaud had denied being involved with anything at the docks. I needed to make him talk.|Leaving the police station, Catarina had her handbag stolen by a mysterious thief...|I left to investigate, and found myself with three potential suspects.|Gary, a local tramp, admitted the crime.|Under pressure, he admitted that a man had paid him to lie.|Marc or Rmi? Hard to say who was guilty. I dragged them off to the police station.|Marc wasn't in the least bit concerned with the investigation... He was far too busy hitting on me.|Much more than just a suspect, Rmi refused to confess.|Finally, the Captain came to a decision...|Between the booby-trapped container and the handbag... There was enough: Lumbroso placed Lagadec under arrest.|When I bumped into Manon, I found out that Rmi had been arrested.|I wanted to be sure that Rmi wouldn't breathe a word about the dodgy sunglasses business.|Nadia refused to tell me where Rmi was locked up.|Finally, she broke... Rmi was in a cell at the station, which left us alone for 5 minutes.|I explained the situation with Rmi, and my fears were calmed: Rmi hadn't talked about the glasses.|But that lead to another question: Why had Rmi attacked Catalina?|After picking my way through all Rmi's lies, I got to the truth...|Rmi was under the Boss' orders: He needed to get information about Catalina.|With the help of Nadia, I discovered the place where the Boss was calling from.|I discovered that Rmi Lagadec had escaped from the police station. At last a scoop!|As soon as I got there, I realised that Alex had been placed under arrest.|Looking for other information, I decided to go and talk to Catarina.|She was mortified at the idea that Lagadec could be back.|But I sensed that there was something else...|Catarina ended up by telling me about her relationship with my dad. According to her, ancient history now.|Being a journalist, I knew how to ask the right questions... Catarina cracked.|She admitted that she was still in love with my father... But not to say a word to him!|When Catarina and Renaud arrived, Jacky, a courier, had just delivered a package to Joliette.|After a couple of minutes, the Jacky keeled over, unconscious.|I arrived on the scene, determined to find out what had happened.|Catarina was in a right state, talking nonsense: She said that it was poison.|Finally, she admitted to being in possession of some documents that the revolutionaries from her country wanted to get hold of.|Later, I went back to the police station... I needed to sort out the Alex situation, he was still under arrest.|Bartens got involved: He was convinced that Alex was guilty!|Finally I decided that the evidence was too tenuous to put Alex in prison. I let him go.|Following Lagadec's escape, Nadia had been summoned to the bosses. Her career was in peril!|Feeling responsible, I decided to come to her aid. I set off to do my own investigation.|On arriving at the Old Port, I realised that Dumont had hired Rmi.|Dumont admitted to working with Rmi from time to time.|He asked me to do him a little favour, in return for which, he would tell me where to find Lagadec.|My mission: go to the police station and delete the messages on Rmi's mobile phone.|To do this I bribed Gary: While he distracted the policemen, I slipped into the police station.|Mission accomplished! I went and told Dumont how it had gone down, and obtained Rmi's address.|Tactless as he is, Bartens suggested, or rather insisted, that I go out on patrol with him.|I refused, feeling immediately that this patrol risked having a rather romantic conclusion.|Upset, Bartens left to patrol on his own.|Alex joined me at the police station, and gave me Rmi Lagadec's address.|I contacted Bartens and we went there.|Lagadec's hideout was filthy and untidy... But we found some clues.|At first sight, Lagadec was tracking Catarina and Renaud. He would have definitively left town.|Then after thinking about it, we realised that all this evidence had been planted...|So... Who the devil is Rmi? Where the hell is he? But most of all, who would go to the lengths to put this plan together?|At the same time, Lumbroso Lumbroso learned that the body of Rmi Lagadec had been fished out of the water by pleasure boaters.|Lumbroso told me that Lagadec was dead and that he was looking for Catarina...|Looking at the photos, I realised that the necklace that Rmi had given me belinged to Catarina.|When I was telling Jean the news, Estelle surprised us and threw a fit of jealousy.|Later, I explained myself to Estelle. And I got the pendant back.|The pendant itself was a memory card. I gave it to Alex, hoping that he could decrypt it.|In the meantime, I went round to Joliette, on the hunt for more information.|I managed to get my father out of the building, and I searched every nook and cranny at Joliette.|I finally found a safe, containing Catarina's documents.|It was time to go and have a look around Catarina's room. I found an address there, situated at the Docks.|To be safe, I left all the documents with Alex, and I headed for the Docks.|Not a soul in sight... The sound of footsteps... Help!|Marie was worried about the disappearance of Catarina. Nobody had seen her since the day before.|What of Bartens, he was blinded by his certitude and his investigation was making no headway.|Nadia finished by admitting that she'd had a hot date with Alex. I needed to find him.|Alex had burst into the police station. He was worried about Manon, who had disappeared.|He gave me the memory card that Manon had given him.It contained encrypted data files.|Manon was in danger, I needed to find him. Someone had to know where to find her.|I was surprised to find Dumont in the empty offices of Joliette.|Dumont shared his doubts with me. In his opinion the revolutionaries didn't exist.|The Joliette coffee maker really contained poison. How could Catarina have known that?|Catarina's place needed to be searched. She declares that she's a target for some revolutionaries, who want to kill her...|Previously, in Chapter 5...|On leaving the police station, where she'd come to make her statement, Catarina has her bag stolen. Nadia heads the investigation and catches Rmi, who is locked up. The same Rmi, who was at the Docks, and gave the pendant to Manon...|Previously, in Chapter 6...|Alex realises that the theft of Catarina's bag was no coincidence. Rmi admits to him that he's been acting on the orders of someone who calls him from a phonebox in the Old Port. A little later, Rmi escapes... Lumbroso has no choice but to lock Alex up as an accomplice!|Previously, in Chapter 7...|News of Rmi's escape spreads fast... At last the scoop that Manon's been hoping for! The young journalist starts her investigation by interviewing Catarina. Alex gives Rmi's address to Nadia: a search ensues. Nadia realises that the clues found at  the scene were left deliberately. While Alex decodes the contents, she retrieves Catarina's documents from Joliette. An address found amongst Catarina's belongings leads her to the Docks.
