Hand and Shears
This delightful little pub is a good example of an early nineteenth century alehouse. Its plain and simple interior has matchboarded walls and an oak floor. Although small, it is divided into four bar areas, each served from the central bar island. A traditional English pub and steeped in history.

The Library at The Lanesborough
Walk through the lobby of the Lanesborough Hotel to the Library and you are handed a book by staff in Casablanca attire. Within it youll find, as you survey the towering fresh flowers and roaring fire of the elegant surroundings, spells. In the house champagne cocktail. 19 for spicy lobster nachos  but perfect nachos none the same.

Bluebird
The restaurant and bar occupy the single, glorious upper room (not to be confused with the less formal caf on the ground floor) and it is looking grander than ever. Several vast chandeliers have been hoisted high up to the light-filled ceiling; sofas and armchairs now mingle with the formal white tables; and a glittering bar dominates the far end.
