Just east of the Spanish Steps lies a green relief from sightseeing, the sculpture gardens landscaped in the 17th century. This area includes a zoo, Pizza di Siena arena and an artificial lake.

Unfortunately, the most entertaining element of the Baroque trick fountains which spray unwilling passers-by has been removed.

However, the Galleria Borgehese, which is home to Bernini's most famous pieces of work, Apollo and Daphne, should be seen first.
