i haven't finished the game though, also total conquest.
Level 12 in green farm 3 and retreatedLOL but level 30 in total conquest

total conquest is also hard, you are left with your kingdoms, no missions.
And there is also invasion
The anti invasion trick is date and time settings, right?

you can deploy troops in your kingdom palace to defend attacks by invaders

in total conquest, if i place armies to defend my kingdom, when enemies attack, the armies will be gone even if they are not dead.

It is in all total conquest games. My defense armies will be gone after invaded by enemies, and also when i attack another province, my deployed armies will also be gone after fighting(if they are not dead)

Not bugs, they even wrote it in help option that deployed armies will be gone after fighting
